These Terms apply to the website, editor, templates, exports, subscriptions, support, and any related services we provide.
2. Acceptable use
You may use TheFake for lawful creative, educational, production, marketing, parody, satire, design, and entertainment purposes. The fictional nature of your output should be clear anywhere confusion could cause harm.
Permitted uses include:
- Social videos, memes, skits, podcasts, explainers, and creator storytelling.
- Film, video, documentary, and advertising production.
- Product demos, UI mockups, design presentations, and training material.
- Educational examples, safety awareness content, and fictional scenarios.
3. Prohibited use
You may not use TheFake to deceive, harm, exploit, or impersonate people in ways that could cause real-world damage. Prohibited uses include:
- Fraud or deception: fake conversations used for financial gain, legal claims, insurance claims, chargebacks, or other false proof.
- Harassment or defamation: content intended to bully, threaten, stalk, shame, or damage someone's reputation.
- Harmful impersonation: presenting a real person as saying something they did not say in a misleading or damaging context.
- Misinformation: fake news, hoaxes, public manipulation, or content likely to mislead people about real events.
- Blackmail or extortion: using generated content to pressure, coerce, or threaten anyone.
- Illegal activity: any use that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content you create, export, publish, or share using TheFake. You agree to follow applicable laws, platform rules, and these Terms. You also agree that you will not present generated chat content as real where doing so could mislead people or cause harm.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
6. Intellectual property
TheFake, including its software, templates, interface, branding, and original product features, is owned by TheFake or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, the chat scenes and exports you create are yours to use. You are responsible for making sure your inputs and outputs do not violate someone else's rights.
7. Subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid plan. By subscribing, you agree that:
- You will pay the fees shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal.
- You can cancel through your account or billing flow.
- Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
8. Service changes and availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves. We try to keep TheFake fast and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
9. Termination

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheFake is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm arising from your use of the service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TheFake and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TheFake after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
