Full assessment+
TheFake covers 31 supported platforms and more than chat bubbles: the directory includes messaging layouts, social posts, comment threads, stories, email, calls, lock screens, profiles, and related surfaces. That breadth is valuable when one campaign moves between a WhatsApp exchange, an Instagram comment thread, and a TikTok-style scene. Names, messages, timestamps, avatars, reactions, read states, and other visible details remain editable instead of being flattened into a static template.
The free path is unusually practical for still work. A visitor can build and download a high-resolution, watermark-free PNG without creating an account. Signing in adds cloud project saving; Pro adds AI writing tools, video and animation exports up to 4K and 60 FPS, and carousel exports. The pricing page currently lists a $4.99 seven-day pass, $7.99 monthly access, and a $49 lifetime option, which gives occasional and frequent creators different ways to pay.
The limitations matter. Video export is a paid feature, and the editor's breadth can take longer to explore than a single-purpose generator. API Starter costs $15/month and includes 200 monthly render credits. API Starter is a separate subscription. Studio Pro does not include API access. If your only requirement is one free watermarked test video, MockChats gives you a more direct evaluation path.
